The Immigration Education Amendment: Expanding Access to English Tuition Bill 2020 was introduced in the Lower House by Acting Minister Tudge last week.
This Bill, if enacted, will support the changes to the Partner Visa requirements for sponsors and visa applicants, by removing the 510 hour limit on tuition, allow eligible persons to continue to study up to the level of vocational English. It will also remove time limits for applying by specified persons and extending the program of English tuition to specified visa applicants or holders offshore.
