Subclass 189 Visa (New Zealand Stream) – 3 in 5 years income threshold amendment

by | Jun 15, 2021 | Migration

Further to our recent updates about the Subclass 189 permanent residence visa under the New Zealand stream, there have been amendments made to the Migration Regulations.  The changes substitute 3 income years for the previous 4 years that an applicant for an NZ stream Subclass 189 visa must have earned an amount no less than the income threshold, in the five years before the application was made.  This change will take effect from 01 July 2021.

Please also note that one of the income years must be the income year that ended most recently before the date of the application.

The income threshold for the last 5 financial years has been $AUD53,900
